Small stele of Vishnu. Light sandstone. India. 11th century.
The deity stands on a lotus cushion, with the chakra in his left main hand and a mace and conch shell in his side hands. On either side are the personified attributes shanka and chakra (Chakrapurusha or Sudharshana), behind each are two figures, possibly avatara. On the pillars of the torana sit Brahma on the right and Shiva on the left.
