Eleonora Duse (D'Annunzio's Muse) in Hedda Gabler, Lisbon, April 1898 Pictorialist portrait on matte paper, diameter 135 mm, inscription, pencil, mount verso "La Duse". A careful observation of the print and its short trimmed old mount makes us think that the portrait was originally cut in a round shape but that it has been cut in a smaller circle (hint: pencil cut lines on the back)
