Oil on canvas, wax-doubled. Unsigned. On the doubling canvas with an inventory and inscription of the 19th century with an attribution to Pietro Antonio Rotari:
"no: 419 Dr: G: P. Rotari after Desmarées. engraved by Verelst." as well as on the stretcher: "Maria Anna, nachmalige / Churfürstin von Bayern". Framed in a new historicizing moulding.

Slight canvas deformations.In the lower left. In the lower left corner area with varnish or paint crepations (whitish spots), probably due to the effect of moisture, as well as with a small, scattered paint layer and minor losses. Somewhat larger retouch u.l. as well as further very small ones on the picture surface. Small spot of paint layer loss with pressure mark in the forehead. Age craquelure and slight climatic edge. Corners rubbed. Yellowed varnish.White splashes on the surface, especially on the upper right.
