Majolica. Brand absent. Maximum diameter 24.5 cm. Conservation: felting and chipping to the edges Three plates host the polychrome pictorial motif called "Garden with vase and broken column" that had great success in the eighteenth century. Two plates are decorated with the so-called "pagoda" or "al casotto" motif of oriental inspiration, with a pagoda in the centre surrounded by a landscape and vegetation typical of Romagna. For an extensive dissertation on these motifs see C.Ravanelli Guidotti, La Fabbrica Ferniani, Ceramiche faentine dal barocco all'eclettismo, Milano 2009, pp. 186-191; pp. 221-228.
