CASSINI DE THURY, C.F. Nouvelle carte qui comprend les principaux triangles qui servent de fondement à la description géométrique de la France. Paris, 1744. Black and white. Paper a little yellowed. Canvas map. Joint: France. Complementary map to the small national atlas published by Blaisot. 570 x 890 mm. New map which includes the main triangles which serve as a basis for the geometrical description of France / raised by order of the King, by Messrs [Giovanni Domenico] Maraldi and [César-François] Cassini de Thury, of the Royal Academy of Sciences. Year 1744; Traced according to measurements and engraved by Dheulland. Aubin scripsit. Adorned with a title cartouche, a warning and on both sides, an "Alphabetical table of the main cities of France" and a "Table of the most remarkable places whose situation is most important to know". This table indicates for each place the latitude, longitude and distance to the Observatory of Paris.
