Two beautiful Mamluk assembly polygons Wood
Levant, 13th-14th century, Mamluk period Height : 15.5 / 17 ; Width : 12 / 11 cm Provenance : former private collection from Paris
These two assembly polygons in carved wood on several registers are of a quality comparable to the polygons executed for prestigious pieces of furniture of the Mamluk period, such as the minbar of Sultan Lagin dated 696 AH / 1296 AD.
