Medieval bowl with polychrome floral decoration Earthenware with polychrome decoration under a transparent colourless glaze Eastern Iran, 10th century, Samanid period Sari bowl with red, black and green decoration on a cream background, representing two quadrupeds surrounded by vegetal elements and a frieze of dots. A cup with a similar decoration of a bird is kept at the Ariana Museum in Geneva (Inv.
