First edition issued from the press of the Imprimerie Royale, decorated with 21 folded plates and divided into 9 parts: Of the fixed stars, the sun, the moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Mercury, the last part comprising the theory of the satellites, with the singular remarks observed in the appearances of these satellites. This would be, according to the author, the first treatise on astronomy in French (Preface). Wetness on the first leaves, spotting on the boards.
