BORDES (Ch.). PARAPILLA, AND OTHER FREE AND GALLANT WORKS.
Florence, without name (Geneva, Cazin), 1784. Small in-16 of [6]-164 pages, emerald green calf, gilt fillets on the boards, ornamented spine, gilt lace inside, pink tabis endpapers, gilt edges (19th century binding).
Edition considerably enlarged and made on the author's manuscripts. These bawdy tales were condemned to destruction by court judgment in 1865 and are illustrated in this edition with an engraved frontispiece representing a gardener carrying a basket in the middle of which is a "Cazzo" (penis) surrounded by roses. Some light foxing otherwise a fine copy, nicely bound. (Gay III, 629).
