History
Anne-Geneviève de Bourbon-Condé is depicted here as an abbess of royal blood, characterized by her ermine coat. In 1663, she became close to the Carmelites, whose white hood she wears here, and worked to defend the Jansenist bishops who were imprisoned, hence the rats at her feet.
