The Rum Runner brand and urban artist Oré have teamed up to create this unique bottle, which will be presented and auctioned at the Rum Society auction on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
This rum is a unique blend of two barrels:
Enmore 30 and Enmore 33.
It comes from a distillery in English Guyana.
Sylvain from Rum Runner named it "Enmore Blending 63".
Oré painted the glass container.
The colours are inspired by the flag of English Guyana (the country of origin of the rums in this bottle): red, green, yellow, white and black.
These 5 colours can be found on the bottle.
Concerning the figurative representations, Oré creates a tropical forest atmosphere through foliage and macaws (red parrots). Because rum is often associated with this tropical atmosphere.
Two feathered snakes, the "Quetzalcóatl", complete the composition. They frame the Rum runner and Oré typefaces. The feathered serpent is the emblem of Oré. "Quetzalcóatl" is a pre-Columbian deity from the Mayan and Aztec civilizations in present-day Mexico. As Oré has spent several periods in Mexico, the art of that country has been a great inspiration to him. "Quetzalcoatl" has thus become a central element of his pictorial universe, a symbol of his travels and his passion for Latin America.
This creation on a bottle was made with spray paint and stencils applied to the glass. Some parts have been enhanced with gouache marker "Posca".
