Severin Vintage 1980 , 70cl
OFFERED BY THE NAVI HOUSE
The Séverin distillery was founded in 1928 by Henri Marsolle in the commune of Sainte-Rose in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. This 1980 vintage, like many old vintages, was elaborated under very different conditions than today. Séverin's vintages are generally not aged for more than 8 years. According to our research, we believe that the nectar imprisoned in this bottle for more than 30 years is aged for only 6 years in oak barrels. At the time of this vintage, the Séverin distillery was equipped with a column made entirely of copper, the mills were powered by the mythical paddle wheel, which was itself powered by the Grande Rivière à Goyaves.
