Known for its high ester rums, the Hampden distillery, located in the North of Jamaica, distills its rums after a long fermentation from local molasses.
This 2000 vintage has been patiently aged to perfection in oak barrels in the tropical climate of Jamaica and continental Europe.
ON THE NOSE
A concentrated fruity and floral nose. Great complexity that will require aeration to detect notes of sweet spices, nuts and citrus.
ON THE MOUTH
Confirmation of the nose with warmer, almost fiery aromas. Pineapple and banana are found on a well marked mid-palate.
THE FINISH
Beautiful aromatic persistence on tropical fruits and frank mineral notes.
