Père Labat Black Opus Vintage 2009 42° , 70cl OFFERED BY THE HOUSE OF PERE LABAT Père Labat Black Opus Millésime 2009 is a limited edition of the famous Poisson distillery, which has been operating on the small island of Marie-Galante since 1916. This agricultural rum was distilled in 2009, using pure cane juice from the Marie-Galante region, and was distilled in a Creole column. A first aging took place during 8 years in bourbon barrels, as it is customary. Then the cellar master, Fulbert Mavounzi, decided to extend the ageing process by three more years in cognac casks that had been toasted in three different ways. These casks were then blended for this unique 11 year old cuvée, limited to 3024 bottles.
