Pack La Favorite Frères de la côte Fût 30 - Fût 45 - Fût 60 , 3 x 70cl OFFERED BY LES FRERES DE LA COTE The fruit of a project born in January 2018, these 3 casks of aged agricultural rum have been selected and prepared with care in the cellars of La Favorite, for an extraordinary journey. The meeting between our two families was an obvious choice. To associate an artisanal know-how and an independent family bottler, by means of an authentic and ecological routing entrusted to the Fairtransport company. The 30, 45 and 60 barrels crossed the Atlantic on the large wooden sailing boat, Tres Hombres, a brigantine without engine for a sustainable transport by reducing by more than 90% the CO2 emissions. This 6-month journey at sea offers a dynamic ageing process, which gives the rum an important aromatic evolution. Once in the Saint Etienne cellars, the 3 barrels were not blended in order to preserve the aromatic typicity of each. The bottling was done entirely by hand by our teams, thus sealing our common work. Barrel 30 First nose very fruity Second nose more complex, notes of cocoa bean and vanilla. Powerful and ample attack in the mouth. Dry and full-bodied finish with smoky and empyreumatic aromas. The dynamic ageing has given it suppleness and aromatic concentration. 56% - (for information) 238 bottles of 70 cl Barrel 45 First nose on the freshness, mentholated notes. The second nose is liquorice and spicy. Supple attack in the mouth with character. The woody structure is subtle and elegant, and is enhanced by notes of anise and ripe fruit. A nice long vanilla and ample length. The dynamic ageing gives this rum roundness and more gourmet notes. 48.1% - (for information) 253 bottles of 70 cl Barrel 60 The first nose is greedy, reduced, with notes of salted butter caramel. Second nose on roasted peanuts, cocoa and beans. The structure in mouth is very balanced and rich, supple and fat. The finish is full and long.
