Kake fukusa, gold thread on gold silk, embroidered with the character kotobuki (long life), seal of the imperial prince Kan'In Kotohito and of the imperial house.
On the reverse side, môn with a bud embroidered on black silk, the corners adorned with silk tassels.
Dim 74 x 63,5 cm.
This kake fukusa was used to cover a gift. It probably dates from the state visit of Prince
Kan'In Kotohito, and as such is remarkable: it must have covered an official gift, possibly offered during the prince's reception at the Élysée Palace.
