A Dutch engraved Ship goblet with cover, 18th century, Germany/Netherlands, Engraved with a ship and on the other side a farmer ploughing a field, inscribed ‘Het Lands Wel Vaaren’ (to the success of the country). On a baluster stem with a facetted knob on the lid. D 8,4 cm, H ca 31 cm, Good condition. A few very tiny bruises along the edges of the faceted finial but no other damage and no restoration. Provenance: Property of the Dutch noble family Quarles van Ufford aand sold at Bonhams London, 14-11-2018, as part of lot 14.
