John is depicted standing on a wall with an arched doorway, exorcising with his right hand the poisoned cup from which the venom escapes in the form of a small dragon; Peter sits in majesty on a high-backed pulpit with scroll-shaped armrests holding the key in his right hand, a book on his lap.
