Rare and important lead fountain. Architectural form with a parallelepipedic body topped by an applique roof; body decorated with a series of hooked gables separated by buttresses resting on a molded base; roof with hooked ridges, ornamental frieze of fleurons, openwork crest of fleurons, pinnacles with four volutes; opening on the roof in the front closed by a flap that rises decorated with quatrefoils. Letters RG accompanied by a star engraved on the roof. Burgundy, circa 1500 Height : 93 cm - Width : 86,5 cm - Depth : 24,3 cm (small accidents and lacks, tap removed, letters engraved earlier but at a later time) Provenance : former public sale of the 1960's indicating as provenance "a community in the region of Mâcon" (fig.).
