BELT BRACELET WITH BUILT-IN WATCH Comparable to the one made by Czapek et Cie Geneva 1850 (Patek Philippe documentation) Bracelet chiselled with fine plant motifs with a belt buckle in 750°/°° gold set with garnets alternating with roses in which is hidden a mysterious cover with a round opening revealing a watch face Figured and numbered Gross weight : 76,6 g With its key, in a 19th century tortoiseshell case (Accidents, broken glass, missing pieces) Franciszek Czapek was a Polish watchmaker who immigrated to Switzerland and formed a company with Patek in 1839, in a partnership that lasted six years. In 1845, he founded a new company, Czapek et Cie, and became a patented supplier to the Empire. He opened a shop at 23 Place Vendôme in Paris and wrote a book on watchmaking. The rarity and precision of his pieces made him one of the most prestigious master watchmakers of the 19th century.
