Alexandre Clerget, a pupil of Falguière, exhibited at the Salon from 1889 to 1924 mainly statuettes of female subjects in the Art Nouveau style.
The artist entrusted the Siot-Decauville foundry, known for the care taken with its patinas, with the edition of several models in gilded bronze.
