The photographic album of an officer of the French Expeditionary Corps in Indochina (1895 - 1900) Italian style photograph album (28,5x37,5 cm) bound in used red percaline, composed of about 110 photographs. The pictures reflect - in a very disjointed way - the journey of an officer of the Expeditionary Corps from his departure from Marseilles to his posting in Tonkin, with many prints bought from photographers of the places he went through (Dieulefils, Moreau, etc...) or pictures taken by the photographic service of the Army during manoeuvres. Albumin or silver prints glued on both sides on strong cardboard sheets, images located in ink on the mounts or on the prints. Various sizes : 5,5 x 8,5 cm to 22,5x 29 cm Colonel Chaumont's expedition to Panai, around Moncay in 1895; Bac-Ninh; Sontay; Thai types of Upper Tonkin, Dap-Cau, Tuyen Kang, Haïphong, Langson, Hanoi, Nam-Dinh...
