Ferahan carpet woven in the workshops of the famous weaver MUSTAHAFIE (Persia), 3rd third of the 19th century Dimensions : 200 x 130cm Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A hexagonal navy medallion, and its pendants, are placed on a brick field in a flowery mandorla. Four important greenish spandrels with floral latticework frame the whole. The main ivory border with a series of blooming corollas, flanked by four counter borders with flowers and "S". (Wear, as is)
