Important 18th century door or chest lock with... Lot 45 B

Important 18th century door or chest lock with three bolts. It has a thick rectangular plate framed with mouldings and finished on one side by a set of waves. On this plate are the three bolts operated by a long moulded rod, engraved with fillets, and finished with a baluster knob. Above the rod is the small mechanism protected by a plate with a radiating decoration surrounded by the letters AM and I+S (monogram of Christ), as well as various ornaments. All around are the various springs maintained by small riveted balusters. Some parts of the mechanism are missing. Bavarian work of the 18th century. Traces of tinning.
