Door lock and its handle in chased and gilded bronze after a model of DELAFOSSE. Of rectangular form, it presents a decoration with two compartments. The larger one chased in relief of garlands and falls of foliage and fruits supported by a knot of ribbons, the whole projecting on a frame with Greek. The other compartment, much narrower, decorated with an oval whose interior is chased with foliage. Iron mechanism with three bolts including the back and forth and the night lock. Small movable cover. Oval handle chiselled with acanthus leaves radiating around a central olive. Underneath, a very small tongue activating the lock. Cast bronze, moulded and chiselled. French work of the Louis XVI period inspired by the drawings of Charles DELAFOSSE (1734-1789). Detached handle.
