Another project by Hazon for the Place Louis XV in Paris, with colonnades and a group representing Louis XV in glory, is known (see: sale catalogue, Paris, Hôtel Drouot, Maître Millon, March 26, 2020, n°166, repr.)
Our drawing is another project for the development of the Place Royale (future Place de la Concorde) probably executed in 1753, during the first competition launched to restructure the square and the district. Hazon then proposed to redesign the rue de l'Université and his proposal was noticed.
