A gold necklace, Goa, Southwest India, late 17th century, the pendant of oval form with domed central locket of glass, the sides chased with flowers surrounded by an openwork floral band with raised elements, the chain formed of very fine flowers heads of box form, engraved gold balls, and tiny spindle elements with gold balls, necklace 40.5cm. long, pendant 4.5cm. high, weight 22 grams
