Pendant with granulation High-quality yellow gold. Hollow chased bearded man's head (Zeus, the father of the gods) on a fixed strap eyelet after an Etruscan model. Richly decorated with very fine granulation, the flat reverse with granulated Greek inscription. Nose bumped, minimal oxidation at the eye. 4,5 x 3 cm. Weight 12,84 g. In the Castellani style, around 1870. The pendant is stylistically and in its workmanship very similar to the famous Acheloos pendant from the Roman goldsmiths Castellani.
