Pair of covered pots, or cassolettes, Empire<br/> Richly ornamented, the lids are decorated with a frieze of leaves and a beaded rim. The body is composed of a Greek frieze in its upper part, a set of olive branches including leaves and fruits that four birds come to pick and finally, a gadrooned part. <br/> This ensemble rests on a pedestal, which is itself gadrooned.<br/> Around 1830.<br/> Painted cast iron.<br/> One handle restored. <br/> The model of this vase is in the catalogue of the art foundry A. Durenne of 1868, plate 179. <br/> Height 80 cm - Width 47 cm - Depth 41 cm
