A large Radery & Delphieu bisque head Bebe doll, French circa 1885, with fixed brown glass paper weight eyes, finely painted lashes and feathered brows, closed mouth, dimple to chin and pierced ears, with a later blonde wig, on a fully jointed wood and composition body, wearing a white dress, hat, underclothes, socks and shoes, (condition: head perfect, body play-worn), incised R.4.D, 27” (29cm) tall.
