Restoration and maintenance
This beautiful Tuscan cabinet, typical of the early Italian Renaissance
, is striking for its harmonious proportions and its architectural power, embellished by a succession of geometrical panels. It is composed of two superimposed parts, opening to four molded leaves.
A brass door knob occupies the center of each one and thus constitutes a catch for the opening.
The upper body is underlined by an architrave with a denticulated frieze and a prominent cornice. The lower body is more compact and rests on a finely molded base.
This piece of furniture is a very good example of Italian furniture of the early Renaissance.
