Important and fine tapestry of BRUSSELS Vespasian receives the spoils of the capture of the city of Jotapata in Galilee Very beautiful and rare panel of the Royal Manufactures of the city of Brussels in Brabant of the XVI° century. This tapestry panel is part of a series of hangings having for subject the Judaic wars, inspired by Master of Coëtivy, and of a song of gestures, very popular since the XIIth century is known under the title of " The revenge of our Lord ". It was with the Renaissance that this story was again brought up to date. The tapestry panel represents Vespasian who receives the spoils of the capture of Jotapata in Galilee in the year 67.
