Thick copper plates with Cloisonné and partly strong gilding.
Description:
The coat of arms in oval reserve on the front showing the single-headed black eagle with the Prussian eagle on the shield on the chest, which in turn bears the ancestral Hohenzollern shield. Above the head hovers the imperial crown with flying ribbons. In each corner on a black background a bat, above a flaming pearl. On the back a hole for hanging.
Measurement:
Weight 760g. Height 2cm, 11 x 7.5cm.
Provenance:
Estate of a German railwy engineer, Julius Dorpmüller (1869-1945) who stayed in China between 1907 and 1918 and helped design the Chinese Schantung Railway, and thence by descent.
