Météorite d'Orgueil is a very rare CI carbonaceous chondrite meteorite that crashed on May 14, 1864 in a field in the commune of Orgueil, south of the city of Montauban. Orgueil. It contains extraterrestrial amino acids (which are the building blocks of life) and has a composition identical to that of the sun (excluding volatile compounds). Its composition reflects the composition of our solar system in formation more than 4.5 billion years ago when it was only a disk of dust that would give a star, our sun, and its procession of planets including the Earth. This meteorite is therefore made up of the raw material at the origin of the planets
