The author, a Dutch merchant and administrator of the East India Company in Calcutta, denounces the abuses of the English colonists in the monopolies, the revenues, the excessive collections. He warns the Company about the losses that would result from a revolt of the population. With a Hindu vocabulary relating to politics and trade.
