Miniature, gouache on thin ivory plate, portrait of a young lady in white dress, holding a bouquet of roses, signed and dated lower left "A.v.Anreiter 1844", 12,5 x 10 cm, later mounted on cardboard, two fine vertical tears, otherwise very good condition, originally framed in fire-gilt bronze frame (18 x 16 cm) with later pp. 2868 Alois von Anreiter was a sought-after portraitist of the Viennese society, he mainly created portraits of young ladies in white dresses with a bouquet of roses in the hands, at the décolleté or in the hair, typical is his representation as a three-quarter portrait in front of a wall with a window with a view into a wide landscape
