A PAIR OF VERY FINE LATE 18TH CENTURY IRISH SILVER SAUCE BOATS, Dublin, 1788, maker Matthew West, each with dense repousse flower decoration, beaded rim and double scroll handle, each sitting on three legs with shell knees and stepped foot, with blank cartouche beneath each lip, one with engraving to base with date. Weight - 658g / 21.16oz, Length - 18.6cm / 18.3cm, Height to Handle – 13.7cm /13.6cm approx.
