A RARE MID 18TH CENTURY IRISH SILVER SALVER, circa 1760, maker mark of James Warren, who was active from 1742 – 1752 as an apprentice, and elected a master between 1777 and 78. With a later retailer mark for John Whelpley, Cork. Decorated with a pie crust rim with typical Irish shell detail, engraved to the centre with a symbol associated with the city of Cork Weight – 576g / 18.52oz, Diameter – 9 inches / 23.9cm
