London, Chapman and Hall, 1887. 2 volumes in-8°, bradel, green percaline, gilt decoration framing the title at the head of the first boards, common green morocco slipcase, spine ribbed, untrimmed, cover preserved (publisher's binding and slipcase of the period) "The Victorian Edition." An engraved title in the first volume (bearing the date 1837), a facsimile, a reproduction of the illustrated cover of the first issue of the 1836 edition, and numerous lithographs. Issued in an edition of 2,000 copies. Case spine faded; foxing.
