A rare Chinese Junyao quatrilobe cup stand, Song dynasty, the holder moulded with convex sides supported on a quadrilobed saucer with a slightly upturned rim, covered in a thick pale lavender-blue glaze thinning to a buff tone at the rims and falling slightly short of the foot, 9cm diameter, with Japanese wood box and cloth pouch c.f. For a similar example, see Bonham's London, 10th November 2003, lot 145. 品相報告 Condition Report: No major condition issues to note. There is light surface wear present throughout, particularly closer to the edges, all of which is mostly visible under UV/under a torch. Examined under UV.
