Pair of large alabaster covered vases carved with large acanthus leaves, pearl friezes, dolphins emerging from flowering baskets and foliage, the handles formed by swans. They stand on a round pedestal base and a square pedestal. The lids surmounted by a leafy grip. 19th century (restorations mainly to one of the two lids) On quadrangular sheaths, with steps, painted in imitation of green marble (small chips) Total height H: 105 - W: 32 cm Sheaths H: 82 - W: 37 - D: 37 cm Provenance: Jean LEFEVRE Collection (1908- 1965), architect.
