A PAIR OF CURIOUS AND RARE GARDENERS in the form of a hemicycle in mahogany and mahogany veneer, they rest on three curved uprights with patinated mahogany heads and goat hooves and a half-moon base. Neoclassical work from the end of the Louis XVI period. They are topped by an openwork gallery. (some cracks and lifts, minor wear to the patina) H : 89 - W : 88 - D : 34 cm Provenance : Hector Le Fuel Collection and remained in his descendants until today. According to a family tradition they come from the Château de Leuville belonging to the Marshal, Duke of Mouchy-Noailles born in 1715 and died in 1794 on the scaffold with his wife Anne-Claude d'Arpajon.
