Commentary:
In 2007, Catherine and Isabelle Orliac owners of the Castle Labastide discover a real treasure at the bottom of a well hidden secretary, a missive signed by Louis XVI, dated June 11th, 1780 and attesting of the benevolence of the King towards Jean Orliac (merchant and wine producer, owner of the Castle Labastide) official supplier of the court of Versailles.
Michel Bettane, in a Special Issue of the Express in July 2014, described the Royal Héritage 1780 vintage in glowing terms, "The Orliac sisters, Catherine and Isabelle, produce without the planet paying attention, one of those great terroir products of which France has the secret. »
