In-8, [6] f., 587 p., [2] f., fr. in contemporary red morocco, spine with five raised bands, caissons decorated in the grotesque style, fawn-coloured calf title-piece, triple gilt fillet bordering the boards, fillet at the edges, interior roulette, edges gilt. New edition, whose style has been brought up to date, of this treatise by the Protestant theologian Pierre Du Moulin (1600-1684), who emigrated to England and became canon of Canterbury. It is illustrated with an allegorical frontispiece engraved on copper by D. Coster after D. Marot fils.
