CONSTITUTION of the French Republic, preceded by the declaration of the rights of man; with the report of the constitution committee and the minutes of acceptance by the French people. In Dijon, from the Impr. of P. Causse, Year II 1793. In-16, XXIV-103 p., 100 p., contemporary binding in red morocco basane, smooth spine, title, gilt fleurons and roulettes, revolutionary allegory stamped in the centre of the upper plate, in a triple frame of gilt fillets and dotted lines, gilt roulette on the edges of the spines and counterplates, gilt edges, azure satin endpapers (worn binding, rubbed headpieces and corners). Copy printed on vellum paper. A modern handwritten note in pencil attributes the binding to Bradel Derome. Modern stamped bookplate on one endpaper: Ch. Marie.
