2-door coupe body Front engine, 4 cylinders Displacement 1,962 cm3 Power 150 hp Maximum speed 195 km/h Mileage 23,841 km Serial number AR1277518 The "Bertone coupé" with the new 1,600 cc engine from the Giulia 1600 TI saloon succeeded the Giulietta Sprint, also bodied by Bertone, in September 1963 with elegant bodywork by Bertone's new star designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro. It received the wonderful little 4-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts, derived from that of the Giulietta, which had a displacement of 1,570 cm³ and produced 92 bhp at 6,000 rpm. This brilliant engine, which revs with ease, invites you to play with the superb five-speed gearbox, which the Giulia was one of the very few production cars, apart from the Aston Martins, Ferraris and Maseratis, to be equipped with at the time. As for the braking system - remarkable for its time - it is provided by 4 disc brakes. A 1300 version, less expensive and offered throughout the life of the model, would bring great commercial success to the "Bertone coupe". It should be noted that the Alfa Romeo coupe was subjected to crash tests, which were still rare at the time. This 1300 GT received its first registration on September 15, 1972. It was bodied at Balduzzi in Lodi, Italy, and was imported to Belgium where it had its third owner around 2007. It received a completely rebuilt 2-litre engine and was brought up to the contemporary 2000 GT Veloce versions (with self-locking axle and axle ratio of the 2-litre) and received its FBVA accreditation, Belgian subsidiary of the FIVA, under number 046167 in Belgium. It was purchased by the seller in 2010 from August (in Lasne). Her engine has been overhauled at Socaro in 2019. It is prepared for competition, with roll bar, fire extinguisher, tripmaster and stripped interior. Healthy and perfectly functional, it will please a sporty driver.
