H : 41 cm ; W : 27 cm NOTES: This lamp stand is the result of the collaboration between two major artists of the ceramic revival in Vallauris: Jean Derval and Roger Capron. They are nicknamed, with Robert Picault, the "three roosters" and have all developed a style of their own that will durably mark the arts of fire in France. This piece, with its almost surrealist theme, echoes the motif of the sun, which was recurrent in the 1950s, and which can be found, for example, in the tapestries of Jean Lurçat.
