NOTES:
- The first urban artist in history
Gérard Zlotykamien is a pioneer of urban art in France and in the world. He was the first to have the idea of spraying curious characters on the walls of London in 1963.
- Emblematic symbolic characters
Called "ephemera", Zloty's characteristic figures can be found in this work, which also bears witness to the diversity of the artist's media of expression. Here, a raw, patched burlap cloth is used to create these powerful, ghostly figures, through which the artist intends to symbolise the victims of human violence.
