2 leaves in plano composed of the text by Duverney bearing the inscription in the plate "Première planche des morceaux extraordinaires qui publiront dans les pièces détachées du Cours d'Anatomie de Mrs. Mertrud & Gautier" at the bottom centre; and of the coloured engraving bearing the inscriptions in the plate "Peint et gravé par J. Gautier, pensionnaire du Roy" lower left and "Démontré par M. Mertrude" upper right. 73 x 55 cm Rare engraving following the process invented by Jacques-Fabien Gautier d'Agoty with the painter Jacob Christoph Le Blon around 1710, developing a printing process in three coloured plates, blue, yellow and red.
