Myriam FARAGHI (1995, Les Lilas). Earrings "Câline". Gold-plated bronze. Lost wax. "Myriam Faraghi's universe was born from a meeting between the history of art and her representation of jewellery. It is during her training at the Beaux-arts that she becomes infatuated with the jewellery of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. She finds her inspiration in the profusion of figurative forms, telling stories that she updates by relying on the immutable character of intimacy and the contemplation of Nature. In particular, she revisits the "Fede" ring, which she places at the centre of her first collection. Popularized as wedding rings during the Renaissance, it represents two hands knotting together to form a pact. It is this tender motif that signs the name of the cuddly collection. "
